MycoKey Round Table Discussions of Future Directions in Research on Chemical Detection Methods, Genetics and Biodiversity of Mycotoxins

MycoKey, an EU-funded Horizon 2020 project, includes a series of “Roundtable Discussions” to gather information on trending research areas in the field of mycotoxicology. This paper includes summaries of the Roundtable Discussions on Chemical Detection and Monitoring of mycotoxins and on the role of genetics and biodiversity in mycotoxin production. Discussions were managed by using the nominal group discussion technique, which generates numerous ideas and provides a ranking for those identified as the most important. One of the main principles of arbitration is that the arbitral tribunal must be independent, impartial, neutral and diligent in carrying out its duties throughout the arbitration proceedings. However, the sophistication and complexity of arbitration as an extra-judicial dispute resolution procedure can undermine confidence in the efficiency of the system. In this regard, the professional (arbitral) ethics and the honourability of the arbitrator are of major importance. In this paper it is analysed the frequency of a given number of linguistic features within the corpora of the traditionally so called Antiphon the Orator and Antiphon the Sophist. The aim is to determine, by means of statistics, the linguistic and stylistic criteria that might allow to point out or at least to suggest that the works attributed to them could be assigned to the same hand.

The contribution is a study on the tradition and text of Philostratus’ Vitae Sophistarum based on the recent edition of Stefec. This edition profits from the advancements of the last two centuries both in the field of textual criticism and in that of palaeography, since until now the reference text had been the one established by Kayser in his three editions (1838; 1844; 1870-71), which however had been conducted with pre-Lachmannian criteria. Expected Behavior and Strategic Sophistication in the Dictator Game

This paper provides novel results for the extensive literature on dictator games: recipients do not expect dictators to behave selfishly, but instead expect the equal split division. The predictions made by dictators are notably different: 45% predicted the zero contribution and 40% the equal split. These results suggest that dictators and recipients are heterogenous with regard to their degree of strategic sophistication and identify the dictator's decision power in a very different manner.

Maģistra darba nosaukums ir “Latvijas iedzīvotāju politiskās izglītotības ietekme uz to līdzdalību Saeimas vēlēšanās un politisko izvēli”. Pētījuma mērķis ir noteikt sakarību starp indivīdu politiskās izglītotības līmeni un viņu līdzdalību Saeimas vēlēšanās un politisko izvēli tajās. Darbā sākotnēji tiek pieņemts, ka augstāks iedzīvotāju politiskās izglītotības līmenis palīdz iedzīvotājiem pieņemt pamatotākus un racionālākus lēmumus Saeimas vēlēšanās, kā arī tas veicina lielāku līdzdalību vēlēšanās.
